If you are driving to our office, you are more than welcome to park in the visitor’s bays located at the rear of the building. Please note that visitor’s bays are limited. If there are no spaces available, there is a car park around the corner called Red House Car Park which is approximately a 10 minute walk away.

James Farmer
Practice Manager
James obtained an Upper Second Class Law Degree via distance learning with Nottingham Trent University whilst working full time as a Chief Executive of a Barristers Chambers. In 2020 he was award the coveted title ‘Future Face of Legal’ by the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce for his resilience and forward-thinking approach to the delivery of legal services.
Prior to his time in Chambers, James was a paralegal in-house for a PLC managing a caseload of Civil Litigation matters. Following his tenure as CEO he has trained in Property, Wills and Probate and Family and joins BES Legal Limited based out of Birmingham.

Sanjeev Klair

Sanjeev Kalair is a senior Solicitor in our Birmingham branch and deals with Commercial Property transactions.
Sanjeev is a highly experienced solicitor with over 20 years’ expertise in residential and commercial property law. He advises a broad and loyal client base, ranging from individual landlords and small developers to major companies and corporations. Sanjeev regularly handles complex transactions, including the acquisition of commercial premises and development land, as well as the drafting of leases and associated commercial documentation. Known for his clear, practical approach, Sanjeev delivers straightforward legal advice in plain English, helping clients move forward with confidence. For trusted guidance on commercial property matters, Sanjeev and his team are on hand to help.
Imran Ahmed

Imran graduated with a BA in Marketing Management from Oxford Brookes University, where he developed a solid understanding of consumer behaviour, brand strategy, and commercial decision making. He went on to gain hands on experience in the FMCG sector as a sales representative building on his communication skills, and ability to deliver results under pressure.
Building on this foundation, Imran later completed a Postgraduate qualification in Law, expanding his expertise into legal reasoning, regulatory frameworks, and critical analysis. This unique combination of marketing insight and legal knowledge enables him to approach challenges from both a strategic and compliance focused perspective, making him well equipped for roles that require adaptability, problem solving, and a strong understanding of business operations. His background equips him with a well rounded skill set, including analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in fast paced legal environments.

Lauren attained a 1st class (Hons) LLB Law with Business Degree and has started the LLM-LPC Course with the University of Law.
Lauren assists Bernard Shepherd on Conveyancing, Wills and Probate matters. Prior to joining BES Legal Ltd, she worked for another law firm. Lauren is looking forward to been exposed to a new area of law, and developing her knowledge and understanding within her new role.

Jyoti holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (B.A. LL.B.) from India and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Hertfordshire. She gained valuable UK legal experience in Immigration and Property through voluntary work and professional roles with a midsize firm in Birmingham. This combination of legal education and UK-based practice enables Jyoti to provide well-rounded, practical legal insight to her clients.

Saskia began her legal career as an office junior in 1995 and has worked her way through a range of roles to become a PA specialising in residential and commercial conveyancing.
Saskia handles the day-to-day running of files, liaising with clients, solicitors, and third parties to keep transactions moving smoothly, so the solicitor can focus on the legal work. She prides herself on being approachable, efficient, and detail-driven.
